The observatory uses a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station to monitor the current conditions. Sensors include barometric pressure, inside and outside temperature and humidity, dew point, rainfall and rate, heat index, wind chill, wind speed and direction, solar radiation and evapotranspiration. All data is collected and recorded every 2 seconds.
A weather camera is also setup that takes a photo every 10 minutes from different directions and a time lapse video is created for each day. The most recent images obtained are shown on the right.
The meteorological day used at this station ends at midnight and all times are local to the observatory.
